P&C having a little trip out for the day to Lake Vyrnwy, checking into the Lake Vyrnwy hotel for a spot of lunch before riding across to Bala (a favorite haunt). On the way back, taking detour to Ruthin before heading home. A well ridden route, but no less spectacular every time :)

Weather; A bit damp early morning but clearing up by the time we left at 11:00 and very warm, so minimal clothing under the "leathers"

Miles; 102

Roads; B roads to Vyrnwy for a change, not again though as it takes too long; brilliant B road over the mountains from Vyrnwy to Bala and sweeping fast roads home from Bala, taking in Ruthin and the Pany-y-garth pass through trees.

Before we go I thought I'd share Stanley guarding the silver thing in readiness for a BBQ!!!!😂😂

Bike cleaned in readiness for a few hours riding:)

1st stop, Lake Vyrnwy Hotel for lunch - Caroline had her usual Fish & Chips :)

We left the Hotel and carried on anti-clockwise around the lake and then turned off toward Bala. A great road, single track most of the way and some very sharp bends. A slow but extremely rewarding ride across the mountain.

This road just disappeared in to the distance through a valley!

We weren't riding BTW, just parked up taking the previous photo - not to be repeated, as we were pointing down a fairly steep slope so foot on the back brake, one foot on the ground and hands trying desperately to take the photos!!Hence the grimace on my face....

The to our favorite pub in Bala...

Homeward bound, taking in Ruthin and the Pant-y-Garth pass and obviously finishing off at our local pub as tradition calls...

The Golden Lion.

Lovey day out with Mrs C
